137 Pillars Bangkok - Urban Oasis + Rooftop Goals Fulfilled

Opened in April 2017 - the Bangkok location is actually the second branch of luxury boutique brand, with the first being in Chiang Mai.

If you're looking for a quiet, luxurious oasis in the hustle and bustle of teeming Bangkok - 137 Pillars might just be your diamond in the rough. Starting with the successful first location in Chiang Mai, the Bangkok branch opened in April 2017. Strategically located between shopping paradise Siam and the nightlife of Thonglor, 137 Pillars Bangkok has the best of both worlds at the Phrom Pong BTS station.

Some of the best things about staying at 137 Pillars Bangkok are the the spectacular common areas.

The main hangout area has an almost 360 view of Bangkok, with a glass floor circle letting you see just how far up 27 floors is!

Nimitr, which means ‘a special dream’ in Thai, is a beautiful place to dine and soak in the city lights of Bangkok.

The main infinity pool is gargantuan, with yet another stunning view from the 27th floor. Perfect for lazing the day away or reading a good book.

The top floor infinity pool, though, is probably one of the most spectacular rooftop pools I've ever been in. Standing on the edge of the pool is enough to give anyone vertigo. I felt like I was literally standing on air!

There are 34 beautifully appointed suites here, with each being named after royal periods in Thai history. We stayed in the Ayutthaya suite, which was absolutely gorgeous. It came with a dining area, living room, giant bathtub, luxurious king size bed, and a spacious balcony overlooking Bangkok.

They also had a butler who you could interact with via a smartphone included in the room.

Not one to skimp on food, the Leonowen's Club served up a fantastic breakfast buffet. We especially loved the Wagyu Beef, the Eggs Benedict, and all the lovely juices.

You could also choose to eat your breakfast at the ground floor Bangkok Trading Post, which had a lovely colonial decor.

We'd be remiss to not mention 'Louie' - the royal blue cab who was gifted by local car collector Khun Art. He's usually parked right outside the hotel and the perfect Instagram partner in crime! :)

We hope to see you at 137 Pillars Bangkok next time you're in Bangkok!
